Breakfast Menu

Where our food comes from

Cereals

All our cereals come from well known brands

Fruit

In season we grow our own strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and black currants. All our other fruit comes from R. Stobbo’s in the Market Place, Corbridge.

Meat

All our meat comes from Halls Butchers in the village. Our bacon is dry-cured, rindless back bacon and our sausages are Hall’s own recipe pork and chives.

Eggs

The majority of our eggs come from our own chickens. On the occasions when the girls can’t keep up we buy free range eggs from a local farmer, Mr Goodfellow at Ingo.

Honey

Doug keeps two colonies of honey bees at his allotment which provide all the honey we use. The bees forage on Tyne Valley crops and wild flowers.

Jams and Preserves

All of our jams and preserves are homemade by Jan. The strawberries, raspberries and blackberries used to make the jam come from Doug’s allotment – he hasn’t quite managed to grow Seville oranges yet but he’s working on it!
